What do you do at Janado?

At Janado, we specialize in the purchase and professional refurbishment of used company IT, especially smartphones. Our mission is to contribute to environmental protection through the circular economy while offering our customers high-quality, durable technology at affordable prices.

Looking back, what are you particularly proud of?

There have been a few highlights: We particularly remember the opening of our Circular Hub at the Areal Böhler, which we celebrated in style. But the nostalgic look back at our beginnings as a young start-up are also unforgettable: Over eight years ago, we started in the start-up center in Building 37 and had hoverboards pull us across the site on office chairs! The Areal Böhler has actively supported us right from the start and helped us to grow with additional space. We are excited to see what the future holds for us!

Why did you choose the Areal Böhler back then?

For me, the Areal Böhler is more than just a simple location - it is lively, innovative and has become our home. Here we find spaces to take a deep breath, such as the green space in front of the Böhler Café or the roof terrace of Hall 13 when our Circular Hub was created there. What's more, the events at RheinRiff are always something special! Highlights for me are also Art Düsseldorf and the cozy Christmas market, which Janado also supports as a sponsor.

Would you recommend the location to others or do you have any tips for other tenants?

By all means! Make full use of the Areal Böhler and share this unique experience with your teams - they will be thrilled. Emphasize the benefits of the site in your job descriptions to attract potential talent. Also take the opportunity to visit the regular trade fairs. Even if we have not yet fully exploited the networking with other tenants on the site, we see this as a great opportunity that we would like to develop further together with you. Talk to us! What would you like to see in the future?

We would like to see even more synergies between the companies here at the location. How about regular networking events that promote exchange and offer space for sporting activities such as beach volleyball or table tennis? A stronger online community could also provide impetus. More intensive networking on platforms such as LinkedIn would certainly enrich the exchange and cooperation between tenants.

In terms of infrastructure, we would like to see more access to the site and better mobility solutions for employees without cars - think e-scooters or autonomous buses. A children's playground would round off the whole thing and not only make it more family-friendly, but also create a place where we see the future of the site growing.
